I was walking down a familiar road. I was feeling gloomy so I looked up the sky and searched for the warmth of the sun but it was not there. My mom held me close while my father lead the way. I do not know how but I could feel that the three of us were unsure of whatever we are doing or wherever we were going.
Finally, we have reached our destination scathe-free.. It was a short walk, the road was not rocky and there were no obstacles along the way. I had a feeling from the very start that we were heading to one of the community health centers that I have gone on duty but this time for a different purpose. When I saw the nurse who was chatting animately with my parents I figured it was for a business transaction.
I wandered around the room, went through a hallway and into another room where I saw an old friend back from home. She was sitting at a sofa. I think she must have been sewing because she was holding something in her hand and staring down at it in deep concentration. When I stepped inside the room she looked up and smiled at me. I smiled back. i was feeling warmer and homey this time, in contrast to what I felt while we were walking down that familiar road.
I looked up and scanned the room. The structure looked familiar even though I was sure that my neighbor’s house did not look like this. There was no health center in front of it anyway. I was confused yet delighted. This must mean I am close to home, I thought to myself. We chatted for awhile about practically nothing. I could not recall what she was telling me.
On that moment my mom went inside the room pushing a wheelchair. She was looking at me expectantly, like she was trying to tell me something.Not knowing what she meant, I turned my attention to the person sitting at the wheelchair. His eyes were sallow and the skin around them are dark like he has not slept for days. He was not thin but I could see that his body is weak. He looked at me with eyes full of wisdom and love. I did not need much to recognize the most influential person in my life. The wheelchair stopped in front of me. “Rhia”, he said while extending his arms towards me. I hugged my grandfather tight and burst into tears. I cried so hard I felt like my heart was going to explode. I felt him hug me tighter. I closed my eyes and cried even harder because the hug felt to me like he was saying goodbye. My chest felt tight. Somehow seeing him like that, on a wheelchair looking almost lifeless breaks my heart into pieces.

Then I opened my eyes. They were dry. It was the most sad dream that I have had since I was in elementary.When I woke up the excruciatingly painful feeling was still there. It felt so real.

Cram….( bites fingernails)

Preboard exam is getting nearer and I haven’t reviewed my lessons yet. This is what i get for sleeping 12 hours a day for the past few weeks.. Grrrrr….. i feel terrible.

(stomach growling)

I didn’t know making balloon animals and flowers can be so much fun… until now. Hehe I made flower balloons, dog balloon, bee balloon and just a while ago, when I woke up at 3am, i decided to make goldfish balloon. We’re planning to sell these stuff this coming Valentine’s Day ^.^ P20 per piece, them we’ll make 500 pieces so that will give us P10,000 at the end of the day. We’ll store it up in our savings account then buy a yacht and maybe take a short vacation to the Caribbeans this coming April; maybe make it 2 weeks so we can still catch up with the review for this coming board exam….

Mars to my Face!!!! hahaha, enough day dreaming! The balloon set cost us P80. Well, was it worth the price? Hell yeah! It was so much fun than staring at the PC for 5 hours or back-biting classmates! Gossip girl should try this stuff… Really, even though it may look kinda senseless and too-simple-for-your-oh-so-empty-head,I’m telling you it isn’t. It takes a creative mind to MAKE these forms and SEE them.

A simple trick for noobs from someone who was once a noob 8 hours ago: Use your imagination. See the big picture first before starting to work on your balloon. It makes forming the details of your imagined animals/flowers easier.
